Passion to Purpose: The Birth of Green Horizon Alliance

I’m a proud native of Rolling Fork, Mississippi, nestled in the heart of the Mississippi Delta—a region rich in culture, resilience, and history, but often under-resourced. Growing up in a small town shaped my commitment to equity and fueled my desire to create lasting change in communities like my own.

With a strong foundation in public health, I earned my degrees with a focus on health policy and environmental health and proudly graduated as an alumna of the University of Memphis. My academic and professional journey has always centered around one goal: helping communities thrive by building access to opportunity, funding, and sustainable progress.

Throughout the years, I’ve connected with countless nonprofit leaders, community advocates, and grassroots changemakers—each with powerful ideas, but often lacking the resources or strategic support to bring them to life. That reality revealed a critical gap: bold ideas need structure, funding, and long-term planning in order to succeed.

As I honed my expertise in grant development, strategic planning, and sustainable solutions, I began to see the true impact of combining vision with strategy. Whether supporting transportation equity efforts, building collaborative partnerships, or guiding organizations through capacity building, I discovered my calling: helping others turn purpose into progress.

That calling gave rise to Green Horizon Alliance (GHA)—a consulting firm dedicated to bridging the gap between mission and funding. Through GHA, I support mission-driven organizations with the tools they need to grow, secure resources, and lead meaningful, community-driven change.

I'm thrilled to launch the Green Horizon Alliance Monthly Newsletter, where we’ll share grant tips, success stories, strategic guidance, and opportunities that help changemakers move from idea to implementation. Together, we’re building a future rooted in sustainability, equity, and purpose.
